Systems that get maintained. Keep working.
Davas Group provides planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes for commercial security systems across Brisbane and Queensland. Scheduled site visits, system health checks, software updates, and priority response — so you know the system is performing as installed, not just hoping it is.
Security systems that aren't maintained degrade quietly. Cameras drift out of focus, hard drives fill up without alerting, access credentials accumulate without review. A structured maintenance programme catches these issues before they become failures — and before an incident reveals the gap.
What a PPM programme includes
- Scheduled site visits — quarterly, bi-annual, or annual
- Camera health check — focus, aim, cleaning, and image quality
- Recording system verification — storage, retention, and backup
- Access control credential review and audit
- Alarm sensor and detector testing
- Software and firmware updates
- Battery and backup power testing
- Written condition report after each visit
- Priority callout response for fault events
Maintenance programmes tailored to the site.
The right maintenance frequency depends on the environment, the system complexity, and the operational risk of a failure. A mining camp in western Queensland warrants a different programme to a CBD office building. We design maintenance programmes around the site — not a generic schedule.
For clients with multiple sites, we coordinate maintenance visits to minimise disruption and travel cost. For remote sites, planned maintenance can be timed to coincide with other scheduled site access.
Who needs a PPM programme?
- Commercial buildings with ongoing tenancy obligations
- Industrial and warehouse facilities with insurance requirements
- Mining and remote sites where ad-hoc service is expensive
- Properties with back-to-base monitoring (monitoring requires a functioning system)
- Any site where a security failure would have significant operational or safety consequences
Condition reports you can actually use.
After each maintenance visit we provide a written condition report documenting the system status, any faults identified, work completed, and recommended follow-up. These reports are useful for internal asset management, insurance renewals, compliance audits, and building management obligations.
We only offer maintenance programmes on systems we have installed or thoroughly assessed. We don't take on responsibility for systems we haven't seen.
