Steep sites change everything.
Many Sunshine Beach homes sit on hillside blocks with several levels, external stairs and a garage at the street. Entry points are spread vertically, and sightlines are broken by decks and landscaping.
We map each level and each approach, then place cameras where they see faces rather than rooftops. Cabling is concealed through the structure and verified before the finishes go on.
Steep sites also make access for future service harder. We place equipment where it can be reached safely without scaffolding, keep the recorder and network rack inside, and label every run so later changes do not mean opening finished walls.
Design focus
- Street-level garage and front entry
- External stairs and side paths
- Large glazed openings on upper levels
- Decks and pool terraces
- Concealed cable routes through each level
Salt air, sun and clean lines.
Ocean-facing walls take a constant load of salt and UV. Standard outdoor fittings discolour and corrode. We specify sealed equipment, stainless fixings and colour-matched finishes so hardware stays discreet for years.
Where the architect prefers no visible devices, we look at recessed options and interior placement covering key glazing.
Working with your architect
- Device locations agreed at design stage
- Finishes matched to cladding and trims
- Rack and network location planned early
- Integrated AV and networking
Common questions.
Can you work from the architect's drawings?
Yes. We mark up device locations, cable routes and rack space so the builder can rough in before linings.
Will equipment last in salt air?
It lasts much longer when specified correctly. We use sealed housings, stainless fixings and offer scheduled servicing.
Can I unlock the front door remotely?
Yes. Keyless locks and video intercoms can be operated from the app, and each user has their own credential.
