When the house is empty for weeks.
Many Castaways homes are used seasonally. With bushland at the back and the beach at the front, there are approaches that are not visible from the street and few neighbours around midweek.
We focus on early, verified alerts. Cameras with person detection watch the bush and beach boundaries. The alarm is monitored, and you receive a clip so you can judge the situation before anyone is sent.
Lighting matters here too. Bush-side yards are very dark at night, so we pair cameras with discreet lighting that responds to detection. It improves footage and tells anyone on the property that they have been seen, without lighting the house up all night.
Core system

Wildlife, weather and false alarms.
Bushland brings wallabies, possums, birds and moving vegetation. Basic motion detection would alert all night. We use analytics that distinguish people from animals and tune detection zones on site after installation.
Coastal storms and salt are also a factor. We use sealed equipment and battery backup so the system stays online through short outages.
Common questions.
Will wildlife set off my alarm?
Not if it is designed properly. We use pet-tolerant sensors inside and person-detection analytics outside.
Can someone check the house for me after a storm?
You can check the cameras yourself first. Where needed, we can arrange a service visit to inspect the equipment.
Do you recommend monitoring for a holiday home here?
Generally yes. An empty home in a quiet enclave benefits from someone watching when you cannot.
