Know what passes your gate.
On a grazing property, the front gate and the main access tracks tell you most of what you need to know. A camera at the boundary gate, with plate capture and motion alerts to your phone, shows every vehicle that enters, whether you are at the homestead or in town.
Power rarely runs to a gate. We build self-contained solar and battery units, sized for Central West sun and long winter nights, that send images back by 4G or a point-to-point wireless link to the homestead.
Common Longreach-district setups
- Solar camera at the boundary gate
- Homestead, sheds and fuel tank coverage
- Wireless link from gate to homestead
- 4G or satellite backhaul for remote viewing
- Alerts to phone when a vehicle arrives
Equipment that handles the heat.
Summer temperatures, red dust and sudden storms are hard on electronics. We specify cameras and enclosures rated for heat, mount batteries out of direct sun and add lightning protection where cable runs are long.
Common questions.
Do you travel to properties around Longreach?
Yes, for properly scoped jobs. We plan the design remotely first so time on site is used well. Supply-only is also available Australia-wide.
Will a gate camera work with no mobile coverage?
Yes. We can link it back to the homestead by point-to-point wireless and use the homestead's internet connection, including satellite.
How long do solar camera batteries last?
That depends on the battery type and how hard it is cycled. We size systems for several days of autonomy and specify chemistries that tolerate heat.
